gaits, fairly slow and collected mover. Needs miles to tune him up all
around the hard part is done, make him what you want. He loves people

For
Sale: Billings Montana. Misty is a 7 year old 50 inch
pony that Bill and Rema bought for his grandchildren; unfortunatly they
aren't interested. Misty is a sweet pony mare that enjoys her attention
and Bill and I just don't have time for her. She keeps up with the big
horses at a walk and will either follow along or be led. I have ridden
her out to bring in the geldings and she rides away from the barn just
fine, doesn't run back to the barn and is also good when the geldings
take off back to the barn and leave her and me. She stands quiet when
brushed and saddled, and is easy to catch in a big field. I have been
told she knows all her gaits and her leads, she's very easy to get along
with. Would also make a nice cart pony. She only has one eye but it doesn't
affect her at all. We only want what we paid for her 600.00. I also have
some pony equipment I will dicker on too if needed. by: Rema Renee Behrens-Schelm
Wanted: I am looking for
a soundly broke blue roan ranch horse. We raise cattle in northeastern
Oklahoma and I am looking for a good horse for my fiancé. She is
relatively new to riding so I want a trustworthy horse with good conformation
and many pasture miles. Alexander
Drummond 918-605-5038 Hominy, OK.
Wanted: Have a buyer looking
for a blue roan gelding that is BROKE and 5-10 years old. I don't think
size is very important but I would think in that 15 hh range. If you know
or have such a horse, please email
me.
Wanted: Have a buyer looking
for a horse that is broke and gentle for a fellow who is a complete novice
and a little scared of horses. In a perfect world this horse would also
have a cowboy knowledge. He doesn't ride hardly at all but would like
to rope some calves at branding and that sort of thing. If you know or
have such a horse, please email
me.
For Sale: High percentage
Blue Valentine filly. True blue roan, no white. Sugar is correct, has
good conformation, bone and a very feminine head. Her sire, Joe Hancock
Lee is a 38% Blue Valentine blue roan son of Leo Hancock Hayes. Her dam
is a blue roan Rowdy Blue Man daughter with Hancocks Blue Boy and Blue
Valentine on the bottom of her papers, and is 50% Blue Valentine. This
filly has a great disposition and is a nice mover. At 44% Blue Valentine
herself, she will make an excellent addition to any breeding program.

Blue Jay, sired by PC
Bronsin, 2001 WFQHA World Show Champion by the legendary Sun
Frost, out
of Miss Racy Jay, a running bred granddaughter of Lady Bug's Moon. VF
Blue Jay is blue roan in color, rare in the PC Bronsin and Sun Frost lines.
Bred by Victory
Farms where he was started on barrels, unfortunately he was injured
before he could be shown. He had a period of rest and recently we have
used him for light duty ranch work and he has been handling that quite
well. I let him sit in pasture a year and I can put my 3 yr old on him
bareback and she rides him all over! He offers the best of modern day
working horse bloodlines
combined with a shot of "run". He is extremely cowy and athletic with
sprinting speed, has a super light mouth and a BIG stop. He passes these
traits to his foals, the oldest of which are coming of age to compete
in Roping and Barrel Racing. Blue Jay is currently in Barrel Training
with Adam Boyd at AJ Barrel Horses- look for him soon in the arena! Colts

Hi Donna, I just wanted to let you
know that Cody found a great home thanks to your website. He was sold
to a young saddle maker in Red Lodge Montana who just 2 years ago developed
an allergic reaction to horses. He is thrilled to death with Cody who
is very energetic and has had no allergic reaction to him at all. It gave
him his life back. Thanks so much. Renee Evanoff, Rock
Dog Art, Emigrant, MT
Cody,
(ABC-S507) His sire was Scorria and his sire Ramblin' Rose. He is a "full-blood"
registered curly, but he has the straight gene. Hypoallergenic
15YO dark chestnut gelding, broke to ride (can go forever, would make
a real endurance horse). Located in Paradise Valley Montana. Owners are
retiring from riding, (double knee surgery etc.) and Cody is the last
one they kept. They don't want him to stagnate there all alone, he needs
an owner who will appreciate, use and enjoy him. They think he is getting
lonely and want him to go to a happy home where he will be used. $1000.
Email Renée Evanoff <curlyluver@gmail.com> for more information.

has been ridden by both. Rio has a ton of time in the backcountry; can
be used to pony horses, packs, hobble broke, highlines and much more.

has the well-known hypoallergenic bunny coat. $650. (photo coming ASAP)

For Sale
[SOLD]: unnamed, 2011 big strapping blue roan SC "curly"
hypoallergenic filly, excellent conformation, daughter out of Warrior
Wind (above, own daughter of Seekers Warrior) and sired by Crow Fair Hancock
(16.1-hh 1415-lb blue roan stallion, pictured below).
Minne
Xpresso and Warrior Wind
(the 2 fancy stockhorse Curly mares) had 2 2011 fillies sired byAQHA
Crow Fair Hancock, (above) (AKA Trooper or GoofTroop depending
on his mood for the day) our 16.1 hh blue (brown-based) roan, 1415 lb
Hancock x Zan Parr Bar stallion gelding. This big ole colt is now
a coming 6YO fairly fault-free nice type horse with an exceptional mind,
who really likes his people, behaves like a gentleman gelding, [which
he now is] and is very athletic for his large size. When a foal, he cleared
5 foot panels from a standstill, (and not from spookiness, but actually
out of boredom for entertainment). He does have a rugged Hancock head,
and a non-gorgeous neck; all of which we believe will be sweetened up
considerably by these good-headed mares. He has a long hip and long well-laid
back shoulder, and with that, a very smooth trot & lope. He is correct;
4 straight legs with short cannons, good heavy bone and a good heavy solid
foot. This is the kind of big-circle horse that cowboys ride all day long,
for comfort, and to get the job done. This stallion gelding was
not top breeding material, but is a very good individual using horse.
We gelded him, and he will be continue to be ridden.
In breeding our 2 curly mares to "Trooper" (which was not really
intentional, but we thought, if they do breed, the foals would be horses
we would not mind owning ourselves) we were shooting for 15.3 -16 hh roan
hypoallergenic ICHO registered Curly Horses that can and will work alongside
(or ahead) of most any ranch horse around. With this cross, we plan to
offer a mount for cowboys allergic to other horses, that is big enough
for any size rider, pretty enough to ride anywhere, comfortable enough
for any level rider, and athletic enough with enough cow savvy for any
ranch job. These foals will either be curly coated, or if they are smooth
coated, they will still be hypoallergenic. We sold our first roan Hancock
Curly Horse (15.3 hh strawberry roan Curly filly, out of Warrior Wind,
by Blue Apache Hancock (Trooper's sire) to a discriminating breeder in
Germany for $6500.
The temperament of these horses are second to none, and their all-round
ability is well proven. If you know a cowboy or cowgirl that needs a hypoallergenic
horse, yet wants to ride an intelligent, easily trained, good looking
stockhorse with some real athletic ability, these exclusive horses will
fit the bill. I believe it would be hard to find any more like these.

(disclaimer)
For those of you who don't know me, Donna Grace Vickery, I run HancockHorses.com
with Michelle Thompson, Alberta, and started the International Curly
Horse Organization (North American Curly Horse Registry) in 1999.
I do websites for HancockHorses.com clients, and also help folks
market their horses, so I get asked periodically by local cowboy
& cowgirl friends to list their good ranch horses (etc) for
sale on the internet. In today's horse market, it is difficult for
good horsemen to find an honest representation of their high quality
horses or gear offered for sale, without their value being lowered
by selling alongside junk horses that are being sold for another
reason (dumping & culling). Here on Montana-Ranch-Horses.com,
we will only list top ranch and cowboy horses that are offered for
sale for the right reasons... All horses offered here must be ranch
horses or prospects, healthy, guaranteed sound, with good air, sight
in both eyes, and with any blemishes, faults or bad habits openly
declared.
Buyers - you still do need to get photos and/or video from all sides,
to check for bone, angles, movement, conformation preferences, etc.
If you submit an ad for this site, and you sell as a result of advertising
here, i do fees on the honor system. Just send whatever commission
you can afford, whether it's 0$ - $5 - $500... that is how i do
it on this page, it helps us both out, no pressure on anyone. Thanks
for your participation, and have fun.
Actual buy/sell guarantees originating from an ad on Montana-Ranch-Horses
website must be stated, agreed to & be honored by both the seller
and buyer. I cannot be held liable. I provide only the venue. However,
I will do all in my limited power to enforce that transactions that
originate here are carried out ethically by ethical horsemen. I
will not accept ads from problem sellers. I expect sellers to be
honest, and offer great horses that they are proud of, and I expect
buyers to be reasonable folks with no chip on their shoulder, looking
for some reason to feel cheated. We have all heard of buying or
selling horror stories... all I can say is, use common sense, get
references, be ethical, and stand by your word. If you have ever
committed a dishonest horse-sale, falsified horse papers, participated
in or caused any bad deals in your past, take your business elsewhere.
If you have ever bullied, sued or offered to sue a seller for frivolous
reasons, leave this site now. Please ~ only The Cowboy
Way will be tolerated here! Welcome!
I
just looked at your curly horse site.
Wow! What great horses. Beautiful.
